Journeys Travel Insurance, a leading provider to the UK travel trade, has won "Best Travel Insurance Provider" at Travel Weekly"s Globe Awards 2006.

The award was exclusively voted for by travel agents and was presented to Journeys" managing director, Patrick Chong. This is the first year the Globe Awards has included a category for Travel Insurance, and now means Journeys is the first travel insurance provider to have won all major travel trade awards.

Journeys continues to be a major supporter of the travel trade and in 2005 provided agents and their customers with more new services than at any other time in its 15 years of trading. These new services included Online Claims and Online Medical Screening facilities, plus Journeys Agent Protection - an indemnity to protect agents against the financial failure of travel and accommodation providers.
