FSA regulation allows agents to only sell travel insurance when it is part of a travel arrangement booking. This means that a customer purchasing travel insurance without booking travel arrangements with your agency will be in breach of FSA regulation.

However, current FSA regulation allows agents the option to introduce customers to an FSA regulated supplier such as Journeys Travel Insurance. Commission is paid back to the agency for any sales from introductions.

The advantage of Journeys Plaza is that it can be easily branded for your agency, so to your customers it looks part of your main agency's website even though it is hosted by Journeys.

Please note: Introductions are allowed provided the only information given to the customer is where to obtain travel insurance (website address). The agent must not discuss details of the policy or influence the customer's decision on levels of cover and premium.
